| Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) |
The planet of the apes was one of the most controversial movies I have ever seen because of the metaphor for a lot of different things. One of these is in the 1990's planet of the apes with Mark Wahlberg, where he experimented on the Apes and trained them to be more disposable astronauts. Then when he lands on a planet that is ruled by apes he discovers that the humans are the ones that are used as slaves by the apes. This can be a metaphor for the use of animal testing because it gives viewers a look at the other side of the story.
The newer version of the movie with James Franco was the story of the Rise of the planet of the apes. the movie itself was very appealing and coming from a movie series that had a large fan basis. Critics had very high expectations for the movie and it did not disappoint. The movie was very compelling and real drove you into the story, although there were still some flaws in the acting; for example Tom Felton played a character named Dodge which wasn't one of his best acting jobs. He throughout the entire time on camera he remained emotionless and unrealistically cruel.
Overall the movie was very gripping and is a movie that you should see at least 1 time.
